The course aims to provide engineering students with basic knowledge and essential skills for handling data using the Python programming language.

This course provides an introduction to the fundamental principles and concepts in electricity, magnetism, and optics, a branch of fundamental physics in continuation of the previous course on Mechanics. Topics covered include electric charge and field, electric potential, electric circuits, magnetism, electromagnetic waves, and geometric optics. In addition, this course will incorporate simulations, hands-on laboratory experiments, and collaborative group activities to enrich the learning experience.

Discrete Mathematics is the branch of mathematics dealing with structures that are fundamentally discrete rather than continuous. Unlike calculus and analysis, which deal with smoothly varying quantities, discrete mathematics focuses on objects such as integers, graphs, and statements in logic, which are distinct and separated.

For computer science, discrete mathematics provides the mathematical foundation necessary to understand algorithms, data structures, cryptography, network theory, and much more. The subject is indispensable in the field of computer science due to its applications in areas such as programming, systems design, and computational theory.

Môn học "Nhập môn Khoa học Dữ liệu với Python" cung cấp cho sinh viên kiến thức cơ bản về khoa học dữ liệu, bao gồm quy trình làm việc với dữ liệu, từ thu thập, tiền xử lý, phân tích đến trực quan hóa. Sinh viên sẽ học cách sử dụng Python và các thư viện phổ biến như NumPy, Pandas, Matplotlib để xử lý và phân tích dữ liệu, cũng như triển khai các mô hình học máy cơ bản. Khóa học thường kết thúc bằng một dự án thực hành, giúp sinh viên áp dụng những kiến thức đã học vào thực tế.

The course is designed to provide student engineers with a strong and early introduction to numerical methods. Student will have an opportunity to learn how to model problems in engineering and apply fundamental techniques to solve them numerically using Python programming language. The course will promote project-based learning which encourages students to work on computational design projects and relate the course material to the projects.

Ch. 5. Curve fitting: Least-squares regression, Interpolation
Ch. 6. Numerical Integration and Differentiation
Ch. 7. Integration of differential equations.
